Falafel

The most recent recipe I've tried from the new cookbook, You Won't Believe It's Vegan. I haven't ever made my own falafel (I don't know why), so I don't know how this recipe compares. It was very good, and the flavors were great, but the falafels were not very firm. I am not sure if this is because they were baked as opposed to being fried, but they were still delicious nonetheless. Both kids liked it a lot and ate all of theirs up! Good: They're eating well! Bad: No leftovers for me...

The kids and I also made a second trip to Consciousness Blossoms, the vegetarian restaurant in Palm Harbor, Florida. (Conveniently, it's only about 5 minutes away from the health food store!) The kids were ordering pancakes and waffles again (yes, for lunch), and I was intending on getting a sandwich but breakfast for lunch started sounding pretty good. I ordered their tofu scramble, which was excellent! Much better than the ones I've made at home. Wonder what their secret is...

If you are looking for a good falafel recipe this is the best one I've found, and I've tried several. It is the most authentic and they stay together very well.

I don't know what the secret is, but tofu scrambles are always better at restaurants I think.
